Pinot Noir

Foxeys Hangout Pinot Noir is a blend of estate and contract grown fruit from Mornington Peninsula vineyards, all managed using as little chemical input as possible.

MV6 clone fruit from the original Foxeys vineyard is highly perfumed. Clone 115 and 777 fruit from the White Gates and Kentucky Road vineyards provide red fruits, while grapes from Kangerong lend muscle to the tannin profile.

Fermentation typically occurs with partial whole bunch inclusion and native yeasts. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, a small portion new to add subtle complexity.

Bright crimson, Foxeys Hangout Pinot Noir is medium to full bodied its supple tannins providing length. Cellaring potential is seven years.
